Ham slices with Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 5 slices of ham or Canadian bacon
  • 2 medium-sized potatoes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for potatoes)
  • 1 tbsp butter or oil (for egg and ham)
  • 1 spoon Salt and pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • Optional: garlic powder, paprika, or herbs for seasoning the potatoes

Instructions

  1. slices are patted dry Ham with a paper towel to avoid excess moisture during cooking.
  2. Heat the pan. Once the pan is hot, lay the ham slices flat in a single layer, making sure they don’t overlap.
  3. two medium-sized potatoes and cutting them into evenly sized cubes — roughly half an inch each side.
  4. Next, toss the dried potatoes in a bowl with olive oil, salt, and pepper. For added flavor, you may sprinkle in a touch of paprika or garlic powder. Heat a generous amount of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. heating a small amount of butter or oil in a non-stick pan over medium-low heat. Crack the egg carefully into a small bowl first to check for shell pieces, then gently slide it into the hot skillet.
  6. Once each component is cooked and still warm, assemble the dish attractively on a plate.
